Bearcat Insider was able to speak with sophomore defensive end Kevin Mouhon following the Bearcats first preseason scrimmage. Mouhon played in just nine games last season, but this season he is ready to make a big impact defensively. He feels that he is more experienced and can lead the team to victory. Check out what he had to say:

Bearcat Insider: How does it feel to be playing back at Nippert Stadium?

Mouhon: “It feels great. There’s no place in the world like Nippert Stadium.”

Bearcat Insider: Coming into your sophomore season, what kind of goals do you have set for yourself?

Mouhon: “I just want to be a key player on defense, I want to make a name for myself, be a major impact player on team, and lead up on sacks.”

Bearcat Insider: You had a really good scrimmage, is that a testament of what you’ve been doing this offseason?

Mouhon: “Definitely, I spend a lot of time at the recreational center. I’ve been working hard, I put a lot of hours into this, and it’s definitely not easy.”

Bearcat Insider: Do you see yourself being lead pass rusher?

Mouhon: “Definitely, I am going to be up top. Landon Brazile and I are going to make a challenge and see who leads defense with sacks.”
