SCOUT

Despite a weeknight game, Cincinnati will welcome a handful of prospects when they take on Tennessee Martin on Thursday night.

Despite it being a Thursday night game the Cincinnati Bearcats expect to welcome a group of local prospects to Nippert Stadium with a mixture of current pledges and other targets.

The opponent (UT Martin) may not be as attractive as others the Cincinnati Bearcats will face this season in Nippert Stadium.  However, it’s a great game to have some of the local prospects take in the atmosphere a college football game.

The Bearcats will welcome a small group of prospects in the 2017 and 2018 recruiting classes and Bearcat Insider has been working to confirm what prospects expect to catch all the action.

BEARCAT PLEDGES

Leading the way will be two current verbal pledges in the 2017 recruiting class.

Miamisburg (Ohio) offensive lineman Cody Lamb gave the Bearcats his pledge in late June and hasn’t looked anywhere else.  At 6-4, 260-pounds, Lamb is one of the top prospects in the class and fills a need along the offensive line.

Middletown (Ohio) kicker Cole Smith is expected to come to UC and compete right away.  Earning a scholarship as a kicker from any college program is a major achievement and Smith is considered one of the best.
