Bearcat Insider: So overall how was your visit to Cincinnati this week?
Gainer: The visit was great overall. I saw a lot of things that really excited me to continue to watch for in the Cincinnati season and it was just a fun environment. I really had a great time.
Bearcat Insider: So which coach are you in contact with the most?
Gainer: Well I’ve been in contact with a couple of them. Coach (Jeff) Koonz is the one we talked to most of the time, but for the most part I’ve been in contact with a few of them. I really like the coaching staff and what they are trying to build.
Bearcat Insider: So have they offered you yet?
Gainer: No offers yet mostly just visits and coming down to watch games
Bearcat Insider: So if they were to offer you what would that mean to you?
Gainer: It would mean a lot to me coming from being born in Columbus, Ohio. Cincinnati is a place we have always been around playing teams in Cincinnati as well so it would be great to receive an offer from there.
Bearcat Insider: So far how is your season going with Wayne (OH)?
Gainer: We’re doing pretty well. We just beat Moeller a team from Cincinnati actually this past Friday which was a great win for us.
Bearcat Insider: So overall how would you like to improve on your game?
Gainer: Personally, I need to improve on my IQ of the field. Knowing how to break down certain type of routes when to cut off. Work on communication with my quarterback and seeing how he feels off the breaks those types of things.
Bearcat Insider: What other teams have shown interest in you?
Gainer: Just small schools really. I haven’t talked with any major schools yet, Cincinnati being one of the better schools I’ve visited.
Bearcat Insider: So do you plan on visiting Cincinnati again this season?
Gainer: Yeah, I really wanted to come down on the 15th (September) for the Houston game.
