Cody Lamb, a high school senior at Miamisburg High School, was able to release a lot of stress when he made his commitment to further his education and play football at the University of Cincinnati this summer. Lamb chose the Bearcats over schools such as University of Connecticut, Eastern Kentucky University, University of Toledo, and many more. But what made Lamb choose Cincinnati was really the environment of the school. "The football and academics are top notch," said Lamb "plus it's close to home." Miamisburg, Ohio being less than a hour away from campus, his family and friends can still come and watch him play.
While Lamb is very excited to further his education at the University of Cincinnati, he still has business to handle while at Miamisburg, both in the classroom and on the field. The season has just started for Cody and his team, but they're currently 2-0, dominating both teams they've played. Cody isn't exactly sure what he would like to major in, but he is leaning towards something in the medical field. And from the looks of his high school academic records, he should do just fine if he decides to take up something in that field.
Thursday's season opener game against UT-Martin was Cody's first Bearcats football game. He really enjoyed being at the game and being able to watch the Bearcats defeat UT-Martin. Being out on the field and being able to experience the game day atmosphere meant a lot to him. He is very honored to have received all of the offers he did get, but receiving that offer from the University of Cincinnati and Tommy Tuberville was special to him. When asked what receiving the offer meant to him, Cody simply said "it's hard to express."
We're all excited to have Cody Lamb join the Bearcats family and look forward to welcoming him on campus this January!
