J.T. Smith of Bearcat Insider is giving out offensive game balls for the UT Martin win

It is that time of year again Bearcat fans, if you haven’t checked out this segment before make sure you stay locked in this season to Bearcat Insider. BCI is giving out offensive game balls to a few players for their performance against UT Martin. Check out who received game balls.

The Cincinnati Bearcats defeated the UT Martin Skyhawks 28-7 at Nippert Stadium on Thursday. It wasn’t a pretty game, but Cincinnati got the win so at the end that’s all that matters. On offense the unit tallied 400 yards total with a perfert 50/50 balance run/pass ratio( 34 a piece). That is something the offense wanted to work on and even with a sluggish start they were able to accomplish an important goal.

Bearcat Insider is going to reward a few players who had nice games on Thursday.

Game ball number one: Devin Gray, wide receiver- 5 catches for 111 yards

Gray jumped on the scene in a big way for the Bearcats. It was his first game for the Bearcats and the JuCo transfer showed #BearcatNation that he is a playmaker. The speedster had a 47 yard reception that would’ve been a touchdown if Hayden Moore led him a few more yards.

Game ball number two: Nate Cole, wide receiver- 6 catches for 64 yards and 1 touchdown

Cole is the elder statesmen in the receiver core, almost the forgotten man with all the seniors graduating. Cole did his best Shaq Washington impression on Thursday and seems to be a huge security blanket for Hayden Moore. Will Cole become Mr. First Down?

Game ball number three: Tion Green, running back- 16 carries for 97 yards and 2 catches for 11 yards (108 yards total)

Green did fumble, but he ran with a great force all night. He got to touch the ball 18 times on Thursday and if the running game can get going on a consistent basis the Bearcats should benefit all season long.

Bearcat Insider will be doing game balls every week so if you want to have input on who receives game balls message me in our message boards.
