J.T. Smith of Bearcat Insider gives out offensive game balls after Bearcats win at Purdue

After the Cincinnati Bearcats beat the Purdue Boilermakers 38-20 in West Lafayette, Indiana Bearcat Insider is handing out offensive game balls. Check out who received game balls.

The Cincinnati Bearcats took care of business in West Lafayette on Saturday and the offense rolled for 512 yards (250 yards passing and 262 yards rushing). The Bearcats had a super balanced attack which after two games it seems to be the theme for first year offensive coordinator Zac Taylor and a welcomed sight for Bearcat fans.

With such a balanced attack check out who received game balls this week.

Game ball number one: Hayden Moore, quarterback- 19 of 32 for 250 yards and 3 touchdowns, 8 carries for 58 yards and 2 touchdowns

Moore had an impressive game, after starting shaky against UT Martin, he stepped it up big time against Purdue.  He didn’t have any turnovers which for the Bearcats is the main stat, but he main nice throws all day and even showed off his athleticism on a few nice runs that ended in touchdowns. After this game it’s clear he’s the leader on offense.

Game ball number two: Nate Cole, wide receiver- 6 catches for 81 yards and 2 touchdowns

I personally counted Cole converting on three third down plays. He is becoming this year’s version of Shaq Washington a.k.a. Mr. Third Down. So far this year he has been mister consistency and his quarterback trust him and that’s the person you want to trust you when it is all said and done.

Game ball number three:  Ryan Stout, Keith MinorDeyshawn BondRyan Leahy and Korey Cunningham (starting offensive line)- blocked for 512 yards of total offense

These guys led the way for 512 yards and only gave up 1 sack on Saturday afternoon. I had to show the big guys some love. When the line does well normally the offense does well so give it up for the starting five.
