2018 Sycamore (OH) High School defensive line Tate Goodyear really enjoyed his Cincinnati visit

2018 Sycamore (OH) High School defensive lineman Tate Goodyear had a blast during his visit on the Cincinnati Bearcats campus on Thursday. Goodyear got to watch the Bearcats face No. 6 Houston Cougars. Bearcat Insider was able to catch up with Goodyear about his visit. Check out what he had to say.

Bearcat Insider: So how was your visit on Thursday during the Houston game?

Goodyear: I really liked it. I had a good experience some of my friends were there so that was pretty good. Obviously the atmosphere was great for a big game like that.

Bearcat Insider: So which coach on the coaching staff are you in contact with the most?

Goodyear: Coach (Robert) Prunty the co-defensive coordinator.

Bearcat Insider: So have the Bearcats offered you?

Goodyear: No, no offers yet.

Bearcat Insider: So if the Bearcats were to make you an offer what exactly would it mean to you?

Goodyear: It would mean a lot because I always loved UC growing up around Cincinnati. I would love to play for coach Prunty because I think he is a great coach, but overall I like the entire coaching staff.

Bearcat Insider: So far how is your season going with Sycamore?

Goodyear: It’s going great. Friday night against Hamilton we won 41-20. We are 2-2. Opening week we played against LaSalle which was pretty tough because they are obviously back to back state champs. We are picking it up now getting into GMC play so I think we are doing pretty well. Me personally I had a good game last night.

Bearcat Insider: For you personally Tate how do you want to improve on your game?

Goodyear: I just want to keep working on my footwork and being more active with my hands it will help me get a lot more sacks. Last night I finished up with 3 sacks, but could have had a little better footwork.
