Cincinnati (Ohio) Moeller tight end Brenden Bates enjoyed his visit to the University of Cincinnati for their game against Houston.

Cincinnati (Ohio) Moeller junior tight end Brenden Bates enjoyed the atmosphere at Nippert. He was able to experience an electric crowd and be in a sold out stadium while witnessing the Bearcats take on the Houston Cougars. Bearcat Insider was able to speak with Bates and find out how his visit went, check out what he had to say:

Bearcat Insider: How did your visit go?

Bates: "I loved the atmosphere, it was awesome. I liked when they were running out and they had the fireworks, that was really cool. Other schools just run out and have flags. The cannon every time they scored was really cool. "

Bearcat Insider: What schools have offered you so far?

Bates: "I have offers from the University of Cincinnati and the University of Kentucky."

Bearcat Insider: What does receiving an offer from Cincinnati mean to you?

Bates: "It was after the camp and when coach Nick Grimes told me I was extremely excited. I didn't know what to do, I just kept on smiling. The way he put it was really cool, he asked my dad how would he like if his son came here and played with his brother and I thought that was really cool.

Bates has an older brother who plays for the Bearcats. His brother is Doug Bates, a red-shirt freshman tight end.
