Bearcat Insider gets a quick update on Pickerington (Ohio) Central 2018 safety Jeremiah Wood.

One of Ohio’s top prospects in the 2018 recruiting class is Pickerington Central safety Jeremiah Wood. Bearcat Insider caught up with Wood for a quick update on his interest in Cincinnati.

Recruiting has gotten off to a fast start for Pickerington (Ohio) Central junior safety Jeremiah Wood with six scholarship offers so far.

The younger brother of former Ohio State safety Jamie Wood, Jeremiah already holds an offer from the Bearcats and enjoyed playing at Nippert Stadium during week one of this season.

“I visited Cincinnati for a game last year,” said Wood.  “I think it was when they played UConn.  I didn’t really get to see their facilities, but the atmosphere was great as they had a lot of fans and they were loud.  I liked it a lot.

“It would be real fun to play fulltime in Nippert Stadium as I like their stadium a lot.”

Is there a chance the Bearcats will be able to get Wood back on campus in the coming weeks?

“I’ve been thinking about getting down for a game this season,” he said.  “They send me a lot of mail and invite me to games each week.”
