The Cincinnati Bearcats Men's basketball team will have a Red & Black scrimmage homecoming weekend, October 22nd

The Cincinnati Bearcats Men's basketball team will be on display homecoming weekend seven hours before the football team plays for their annual Red & Black scrimmage.

This is the second year in a row the Cincinnati Bearcats have done the Red & Black scrimmage, it will start at Noon on October 22nd at Fifth Third Arena. For those attending homecoming festivities you will have a big window from basketball to football as the football game will kickoff at 7 pm.

University of Cincinnati men’s basketball fans are invited to attend The Red and Black Scrimmage presented by Skyline Chili on Saturday, Oct. 22, starting at noon ET.

The free event gives fans their first look at the 2016-17 Bearcats, who return American Athletic Conference First Team selection Troy Caupain and the league’s defensive player of the year in Gary Clark. Last year’s unit posted a 22-11 overall record, tied for third in The American and advanced to its sixth consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance.

Fans are encouraged to enter Fifth Third Arena on the east concourse (by the Bearcat statue) for the scrimmage. The west concourse entrance will not be available for use. Doors open at 11:30 a.m.

Free posters and schedule cards will be available for fans after the scrimmage.

The basketball scrimmage marks one of many events on Oct. 22 surrounding UC football’s homecoming contest against East Carolina that kicks off at 7 p.m. at Nippert Stadium. Fans also can enjoy the homecoming parade beginning at 3 p.m. The football team’s pregame CatWalk starts at 4:30 p.m. at The Grid on Campus Green. The Bearcats Music Festival presented by Pepsi live at the Grid featuring What She Said start at 5 p.m.

Season tickets for the 2016-17 University of Cincinnati men’s basketball campaign are currently available through the Bearcats ticket office (1-877-CATS-TIX) or online at GoBearcats.com/tickets. Packages start at $125 or $6.58 per game.

Fans who purchase season tickets are guaranteed their seats for all 19 games, including the annual Skyline Chili Crosstown Shootout against Xavier. Season-ticket holders also receive priority seating opportunities for the 2018-19 campaign, when the Bearcats return to the newly renovated Fifth Third Arena.
