Bearcats run through Falcons 85-56 at Fifth Third Arena

The Cincinnati Bearcats didn’t have a big game hangover as they made easy work of the Bowling Green Falcons on a cold Sunday night in Cincinnati.

The Cincinnati Bearcats handled business at home against the Bowling Green Falcons, winning 85-56. Fresh off of a great win on the road against the No.19/21 ranked Iowa State Cyclones.

During the first few minutes in the game it seemed they were going to have the big game let down, but a quick hook of Troy Caupain to insert Justin Jenifer was the shot in the arm the team needed as he went on a quick 5-0 run by himself hitting a pull up jumper and a three. It was Jenifer's birthday and the young man was in a zone as he hit 3 threes, including one from a little past half court at the buzzer before half time. He finished with 14 points on 5 of 8 from the field and 4 three pointers. When Caupain reentered the game he was a completely different player, resembled more the guy everyone expected at the beginning of the season as he finished with 12 points, 4 assists and 4 rebounds. The Bearcats pretty much dominated this game from wire to wire after being down 5-1, Jenifer went on a personal 5-0 run and they didn't look back.

The Bearcats shot 55.7% from the field for the game and the main reason was forward Kyle Washington. Washington had 24 points on 11 of 13 from the field, yes that is 84.6% a.k.a. 85%, now that's getting it done. The Bearcats also controlled the glass 38-28.

Cincinnati moves to 7-1 overall and don't play until Saturday when they will travel to Butler. They will have a chance at another quality out of conference win.
