Prospect: Jarell White
Hometown: Cincinnati, Ohio
High School: La Salle
Positions: RB/S/LB/WR

When new University of Cincinnati Bearcats head coach Luke Fickell accepted the job to lead the Bearcats, he stressed the importance of recruiting in the programs own backyard.  Tuesday, Fickell added his first “Hometown” Bearcat when La Salle standout Jarell White announced he would stay home and play for Fickell and the Bearcats.

On the field, there is no mistaking the success White has enjoyed during his varsity career at La Salle as the Lancers have won back-to-back-to-back state championships.  During his career, White has played the role needed by his coaches for the team’s overall success.  As a sophomore, White started off sharing reps with Jeremy Larkin before taking on more of a dual role his junior and senior seasons.

Over the past three seasons, White has helped the Lancers to three state titles and an overall record of 39-5.  White ended his career with some impressive numbers on both sides of the ball having rushed for 2,357 yards and 37 touchdowns, while also posting 149 total tackles including two interceptions returned for touchdowns.
