A player that you may not have heard about, is getting looks from the Bearcats as a possible defensive back.

Matthew Morris is a 5'11 185 lb. defensive back from Western Reserve Academy. His dream is to play Division One college football and he was willing to leave his home to fulfill his dream.

Morris is a native of Toronto Canada. He played high school and club level football in his home country. But when it came time for college recruiters last year, they all felt Morris needed more time to prepare for the level of play and encouraged him to play a season at a prep school.

He's now finished that season and colleges are still calling and the time is getting close.

Morris list West Virginia, Cincinnati, Illinois, Vanderbilt, Temple and Buffalo as schools that are still in contact. He also states several other schools were in contact before coaching changes stopped their calls.

Are the Bearcats on his list of high interest?

YES!!!! Said Mathew during a recent phone conversation with Bearcat Insider.

Morris has enjoyed his time at the Ohio prep school. In fact he stated during our recent conversation that he has a real interest in staying in Ohio and that the Bearcats are high on his list.

When asked were he's at with the Bearcats, Matthew said that Coach Barnett is the one who's recruiting him and that several schools including UC are to visit during the week of the 17th.

We will be keeping an eye on the development of Matthew's recruiting with the Bearcats.
