FLYING TO THE HOOP DAY 1 RECAP

If you missed the action during the first day of Flying To The Hoop, you missed a lot. Here is a recap of the action seen by many at this great event.

Game #1 Notre Dame Academy beats Prine Avenue - Decent crowd out for this
one.  Several early arrivals for Dunbar/Taft game that followed.  Prince
leads until late in fourth when ND comes back.  Prince's kid who has
verballed to Auburn misses dunk with 10 seconds left to tie.

Game #2 Dunbar beats Taft.  This was a great game with a lot of great fans
there.  Est. 2500-3000 were onhand to watch Daeqaun Cook light it up.  He is
one smooth player.

Game #3  Our Savior New American beats St. Xavier.  St. X comes out sfast,
but are outscored 21-7 in the fourth.  Our Savior are the two time
tournament champs.  St. X will play Sunday in consolation game.

Game #4 Living Stones Christian beats Christian Center Academy.  A lot of
great athletes in this one.  4 have already verballed!

Game #5 Lakota East beats St. Lambert (Quebec).  James Dews comes through
for the Thunderhawks with 5 seconds to go hitting a sweet 15 footer for the
win by two.

Game #6 Reserve Christian beats Hamilton.  Hamilton is limping along without
their top three players.  Centerville was on hand to watch, they play
Reserve Christian tomorrow.  Demond Tweetie Carter goes for 27 in the win.

All in all a great day.  A lot of close games.  Tomorrow is full of great
games.  Withrow plays beavercreek, Ottawa-Glandorf plays Butler, Reserve
Christian plays Centerville and three other games as well.  Hope to see you
