With junior night taking place during the Crosstown Shootout, several top prospects for the Class of 2006 were in attendance. One player I was keeping an eye on looked to be getting a lot of interest from the UC coaches. Did he get an offer? Bearcat Insider spoke with this junior and got the facts.

Kallen Wade of Cincinnati Withrow High School was one of over 40 juniors to be at Junior Night for the Bearcat Football program. The talented junior already has one offer from Boston College. Did the Bearcats become offer number two?

Bearcat Insider caught up with Kallen and asked him a few questions. Here is what Kallen had to say.

BCI: Did you receive an offer from UC during Junior Night?

KW: Yes. Coach Dantonio has made an offer to me.

BCI: How does it feel to be offered by the Bearcats?

KW: It's real nice. I really liked what I saw during junior night.

BCI: Were does UC stand in your recruiting now that you have an offer?

KW: It's an offer that I'll have to seriously consider.

BCI: Do you have interest in staying close to home?

KW: Yes, my mother has been ill and being able to stay close to home would be real nice.

BCI: What position did the coaches talk to you about playing here?

KW: They said that I would be looked at for defensive end or outside linebacker.

BCI: How do you stand now with your grades?

KW: I'm in great shape. I have a 3.8 G.P.A.

BCI: Kallen, congratulations on your offer from the Bearcats and we wish you luck during the recruiting process.

KW: Thank you sir.

Kallen Wade was one of three players who received an offer from the Bearcat Football staff. Stay tuned as we put the finishing touches on stories about the others.
