HOME COURT ADVANTAGE FOR CHICHESTER

For many high school basketball players playing close to home in college is important, and Josh Chichester of Lakota West HS considers that a big factor in his recruitment.

"I just want to go somewhere close," Josh Chichester responded. "So my family can see me play and I can get my degree."

It's obvious distance is a factor for Chichester that's why all the schools he has visited are relatively close to his home. He has taken visits to Cincinnati, Notre Dame, Illinois, Kentucky, and Ohio State. So who which schools stuck out?

"I liked UC when I visited them, I liked Notre Dame, Illinois, and Ohio State so far."

In particularly what is there to like about Cincinnati? "It's just right around the corner and that's where I grew up," Chichester said.

The 6-foot-8 power forward is will have a dilemma on his hands when it is time to make a college decision. He is also a very talented football player as well, so he will have to decided which sport is right for him.

Cincinnati has offered him in both football and basketball, and Illinois, Iowa, and Miami (OH) have all offered him a scholarship for at least basketball.

His Lakota West HS team has won two games in the playoffs so far and need to win four more to get to state. Chicster is averagine 15 points and 8 rebounds a game.
