Its official, UC Football Coach Mark Dantonio has offered Springfield South offensive linemen Lee Tilley. Tilley, who visited the Bearcats during Jr. Night, spoke with Bearcat Insider about his offer.
SPRINGFIELD SOUTH H.S.
BCI: Lee, Coach Beckham informs me that Coach Dantonio and Coach Staten made it official today with an offer from their program.
LT: Yes, I have an official offer from them.
BCI: How does that make you feel?
LT: It's great. They are the first "In State" school to show faith in my ability as a football player and person. And that is very important to me.
BCI: Does UC have a chance to earn your signature on signing day?
LT: Yes sir, they have a real good chance. UC is very important for me if I chose to stay close to home and play football and get my education. They are the first team to the table from Ohio and that shows they have no doubt about my ability.
BCI: Is there a school that leads all others today?
LT: No sir, I'm very open with all the schools that have contacted me and offered. Those are the schools that I'm in contact with by phone or e-mail and only those schools.
Lee Tilley is the latest player to be offered by the Bearcats. If there is any indication as to what position is important for the Class of 2006, it looks like offensive line is where the Coaching staff is working the hardest.
