BATTLE FOR VICTORY BELL GOES NATIONAL

When the Bearcats and RedHawks meet for the 110th time, a national television audience will see what all the fuss is about for the Victory Bell.

On Wednesday it was announced ESPN-2 will carry the annual "Battle for the Victory Bell" game between Miami of Ohio and the University of Cincinnati. The game scheduled for Wednesday September 18th at 7:00 p.m. has always been a big test for both teams. In 2005 the rest of the nation will see why these two teams battle so hard against each other.

The RedHawks finished 2004 with an 8-5 record. With a new head coach and several returning players, the RedHawks will come into the Bearcat contest having played Ohio State, Central Michigan and Kent State before hosting the Bearcats looking to revenge their 45-26 loss.

This marks the second contest the Bearcats will have in front of a national audience for 2005.

Bearcat Insider was the first to tell you this could happen last week.
