With talk of the Bearcats recruiting two junior college players for next season, several names have come up in discussion with Bearcat fans. After making some calls to some of our national sources, we have a few names that people may have heard of who could find their way to the campus in Clifton.

Darrell Harris

Forward / Center

Cuyahoga Community College

A Division II First Team All-American from Cuyahoga Community College in Ohio. Harris had signed with Siena College to end his college career. On Wednesday Harris was granted his release from his National Letter of Intent, announced new Siena Head Coach Fran McCaffery.

While this is the first stage of a player gaining his "Full" release, Harris would have to clear a few more steps before looking at the Bearcats. Attempts to contact Harris were not successful, but after making several calls it's the opinion of Bearcat Insider that Harris will sign as soon as all paperwork is finished. Harris is the type of player that should excel in Coach Huggins system. Harris wanted out of his letter after Siena fired head coach Rob Lanier

Ivan Johnson

Power Forward

Los Angeles Southwest Community College

Johnson's name has been in the news around Cincinnati since his visit. With offers from the Bearcats and Kansas State, Johnson is said to be making a decision after his K-State visit. After speaking to several sources, they inform Bearcat Insider that it will depend on his Kansas State visit, but they felt he enjoyed his Cincinnati visit and they could see him end up as a Bearcat when all is said and done.

So while Bearcat fans must play a wait and see game. Bearcat Insider will go out on a limb and say the Bearcats will get at least one of these players if not both. If this is the case, these would be great additions for Coach Huggins as the Bearcats enter the Big East.
