In a press release dated today (May 20, 2005) the University of Cincinnati announced the resignation of Associate Athletic Director for Academics Bruce Ivory.
Mr. Ivory was a staple of the Bearcat athletic program and served the department for 21 years.
The reason for Mr. Ivory's resignation was an arrest on driving while under the influence charge. UC Director of Athletics Bob Goin accepted the resignation.
Bearcat Insider wishes Mr. Ivory the best in the future and would like to thank him for his service to the UC athletic program. While we have only been up and running since the first of the year, I would like to thank Bruce for allowing us time to get to know him. Trust me when I say, Bruce Ivory will be missed by many within and outside of the program.
Here is the official press release from the university.
