Prospect Update: Ohio OL Dominic Alford

Dominic Alford checks in with to give us an update. And gives a look into his favorites and what it will take to get his signature on a letter of intent.

Dominic Alford (6'3", 305, 5.4) one of the hidden gems on the offensive lineman crop this year from Cleveland Shaker Heights H.S. (Ohio). Has been making the camp rounds and has been tying to make a mark wherever he goes.

"I have camped at Pittsburgh, Akron, and Ohio State." "My top schools are Ohio State, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Toledo, and West Virginia." When asked to say a something about each of his favorites;

Ohio State – "I have always dreamt of playing for Ohio State ever since they won the national title."

Pittsburgh – "Went to their spring game, they have very nice facilities."

Cincinnati – "Coach Staten saw me at the Big Man camp and I did really well, he said they would be I touch and wanted to get me down to campus."

West Virginia – "I like the way they play the game."

Toledo – "They always win."

So what are the most important factors in Alford's decision? "I would say coaching staff, academics, and location from my house."

Alford lists his strengths as pass blocking, and ability to get a defender down, and his weaknesses as staying low and coming off the ball consistently.
