Guidugli Holds Bearcat Offer After Workout

With no offers in hand, Ben Guidugli of Highlands H.S. (KY) and brother of former Bearcats quarterback great Gino Guidugli worked out for coaches in hopes of earning a scholarship. The work paid off!

As reported by the Cincinnati Enquire. Ben Guidugli, brother of former Bearcats quarterback Gino Guidugli, has been offered a scholarship by Bearcats Head Coach Mark Dantonio.

Thursday Guidugli worked out for Bearcat coaches during their 7-on-7 tournament and advance camp. Going through several different drills Ben worked with coaches Don Treadwell, Tim Hinton and Mike Tressel under the eye of Head Coach Mark Dantonio.

Bearcat Insider watched as the younger Guidugli worked under the hot sun with other players during the day and has these photos from the workout.

At 6-2 and 190 lbs. Ben Guidugli is not the same size of his older brother. But he shows great athletic ability and is a very hard worker. In 2004 Guidugli caught 16 passes for 363 yards for Highlands High School (KY) who won the Class AAA state title.

While at UC, we spoke with the father of the Guidugli clan and he expressed Ben's desire to follow in his brothers footsteps. He also spoke highly of another Guidugli who will be a freshman quarterback this fall.

While Ben is a tight end at the high school level, he doesn't have the size of other Bearcats tight ends already in the program. But with his athletic ability he's got a chance to play fullback or linebacker in the Bearcats scheme.

At this time Guidugli has no other offers.
