Bearcats Make Return To Clifton

The practice of many Bearcats returning to Clifton each year brings new excitement. With jobs up for grab the opening of the 2005 Bearcats preseason camp has fans looking for who will lead the Bearcats into the Big East.

As members of the 2005 Bearcats reported to campus Friday for the official start of the season, one thing was clear, youth will be served on this year's squad. With the majority of the teams being freshmen or sophomores, Coach Dantonio and staff will have their work cutout for them from the start.

While Friday was used to get players back into the swing of being a college football player, the day wasn't one of fun and games. This year sees many serious battles on the field with many positions open for the taking.

The Bearcats only return eleven seniors from last seasons Fort Worth Bowl Champions, and with a highly regarded recruiting class looking to make an early mark, look for practices to take on a game day feel.

Early battles will be along the offensive and defensive line along with defensive backs and linebackers. Under NCAA rules all college teams must report and have their mandatory non-contact practices before taking the field and letting the hitting fly.
