Bearcat Insider was on hand for the first media function for the Bearcats 2005 football season. While all print media was on hand it was sad not to see television stations 5 and 19 also on hand to speak with Coach Dantonio and several players.
But while these two main stream media outlets failed to support the event by their presence, those who did enjoyed the chance to speak with coaches and players about the upcoming season and more.
Over the past few days Tim Adams, Casey Weldon and I spoke about what players Bearcats fans would like to learn more about. So we submitted our names and hoped to get them all in during the time on campus. While we didn't speak to all on our list we did get a good amount of content that will be coming in the next couple of days.
So stay tuned for these stories along with practice reports from all the practices were able to attend. So far were 2 for 2 and I know we'll be 3 for 3 after today because Tim and Casey are both on hand for this afternoons practice.
As for the stories coming over the next few days you'll see stories from Casey on front running quarterback Dustin Grutza along with freshman offensive linemen Jeffrey Linkenbach, II. Knowing Casey the way I do expect to see some great articles on both of these players.
Tim Adams was very busy during the day as he spoke with several players. While all the players enjoyed speaking with the media, the most surprised to have his name called was kicker Kevin Lovell who we asked to speak with. We all enjoyed sitting and talking with the California kicker about his journey into college football and the University of Cincinnati. Tim also spoke with Colerain High School product Andre Revels, tight end Brent Celek, defensive linemen Trevor Anderson and Terrill Bryd and super freshmen Derrick Stewart during the break from practice.
While other media outlets were on hand and spoke to a few players Bearcat Insider spoke to more and will provide more coverage than any other media outlet in the Cincinnati area.
So sit back and enjoy the coverage as we countdown the days to kickoff against Eastern Michigan.
