The events of the past week have brought many emotions to Bearcat hoop fans. With a change at the head of the program, and the uncertainty of what the future may hold, several fans have expressed concerns as the direction the program will take with new Head Coach Andy Kennedy and his staff.
One of the biggest areas of concern has been recruiting. As Coach Kennedy spoke during Bearcat Insiders One-on-One after he was named the new head coach, he expects prospects to take a wait and see approach when considering UC during the next few months. One such prospect has kept an eye and ear on the program and its status like no other.
Adrion Graves is unlike many prospects being recruited by the University of Cincinnati Basketball Program. A Cincinnati native, Graves watched as the days and weeks passed with talk of the removal of Coach Huggins and changes in the Bearcats program. A fan of Coach Huggins, Graves had looked to narrow his list down to several schools including his hometown team of UC. But since Coach Huggins has been removed as its head coach, Graves has taken a wait and see approach towards the Bearcats and his recruitment as a whole.
When news came last week Coach Huggins had been removed, Graves along with Bearcat fans across the city started looking to see if the program could survive at its current level without the man many feel saved UC Basketball 16 seasons ago. But as a top prospect Graves also had to sit and look if the new staff of Coach Kennedy or even another coach could be one he'd have interest in being a part of.
How does Adrion Graves feel about the changes in the Bearcats program? Is there a chance he will be a Bearcat? Is he looking to see if Coach Huggins takes another job?
Those are just a few of the questions answered by Adrion during the BCI Media Interview.
