Epstein Continues to be Popular

As the season is getting into full swing, recruiting is also starting to heat up as prospects start taking harder looks at the program that are showing the most interest. Bearcat Insider updates one prospect who's seen his interest rise over the summer.

Tyler Epstein from Farmington High School in Missouri continues to draw interest from a variety of schools including the University of Cincinnati. Farmington defeated New Madrid County by a 52-21 score last week, and Epstein showed his versatility by recording 13 tackles including a sack and scoring one TD in three quarters of work.

Tyler's father, Larry, told Bearcat Insider that as the Bearcats prepared for their game last Thursday against Eastern Michigan University, recruiting coordinator Mark Staten took a few minutes to call Tyler from the Bearcats locker room and called again this week. Staten is not alone with his interest in Epstein. Miami of Ohio, Kansas State, Kansas, and Northern Illinois have recently joined Indiana and Illinois in pursuing the Missouri linebacker/fullback. Miami of Ohio has been matching UC's interest of late. A total of 12 schools have requested film. Mr. Epstein also told BCI that Tyler is looking forward to taking his college visits before deciding on a school.

Tyler reminds me a lot of present Bearcat middle linebacker, Kevin McCullough. He's got good size and instincts and is hungry to prove he can play. To view Tyler's highlight clip click the following link.
