News & Notes: Miami

Each week the University of Cincinnati SID office releases several bits of information about the Bearcats next game. This week Tim list those tid-bits about the Battle for the Bell.

-Miami is ranked # 13 in the country in passing offense with a 299.3 yards per game average.

-Miami quarterback Josh Betts is ranked #21 individually in total offense.

-Redhawk receivers Ryne Robinson and Martin Nance are both among the country's top 20 in catches and yards.

-In 2004 Richard Hall rushed for 238 yards and scored three touchdowns in this game.

-Gino Guidugli threw for 258 yards and two scores in last year's contest.

-The Bearcats had 599 yards of total offense in last year's game.

-The last time UC played in Oxford the Bearcats turned the ball over five times and lost to the Redhawks by a 42-37 score.

-This will be UC's first ever Wednesday game.

-Doug Rosfeld will be UC's honorary captain. Doug was captain of the 2000 squad.

-Jon Tobin's (OG) knee injury in the Western Carolina game will likely keep him out of the Miami contest.

-K.C. Smith appears for the first time on the UC depth chart. He's listed as a back-up cornerback for Mike Mickens. UC will need all the corners they can get for this game.
