Looking for some info heading into the Bearcats first Big East game ever? Tim has some information on the upcoming battle for you.

-Although the UC/Pitt game will not be televised, the game can be heard nationally on Sirius Radio channel 181.

-The last time Pitt started a season 1-4 they won their final six games including a bowl game to finish the season with a 7-5 record.

-Pitt Panther fans get a 2 hour pre-game radio show, and a 1 hour post-game show.

-The last time these two schools met in football was 1981. Mike Gottfried's Bearcat team lost 38-7. The Bearcats' only score that day was a blocked punt recovered in the end zone, and they recorded only five first downs. Gottfried later became Pitt's head coach in 1986.

-Cincinnati is 0-4 all time against Pitt.

-Pitt has lost three games this season by a combined 15 points.

-Pitt's Tyler Palko has had two consecutive 300+ yards passing games.

-Cincinnati's cornerbacks will have their hands full again this week as Panther receiver Greg Lee (6' 2", 200lbs.) is the active Big East leader in career 100 yard receiving games with nine, including each of the last three games.

-Pitt's pass defense ranks third nationally giving up only 145 yards per game.

-The Panther defense ranks 29th nationally giving up 316.4 yards per game.

-Pitt drew 66,451 fans for its game with Notre Dame and 45,135 for its other home game against Youngstown State.

-The Panthers are -6 in turnover ratio and have not recovered a fumble this season.

-Pittsburgh has two Cincinnati area players on its roster. Tez Morris is a senior DB from Hamilton High School, and Eric Thatcher is a redshirt freshman DB from Moeller.

-Paul Dunn, the Panther offensive line coach, coached the same position for Rick Minter at Cincinnati in 1994 and 1995.

-Saturday's game is for the inaugural "River City Rivalry" trophy.
