While Bearcat fans have been busy talking about the quarterback position, one Bearcat has seen his season go from bottom to top.
Entering the 2005 season Bearcat fans expected Chet Ervin to be the punter from the get-go. But while fans were ready to give Ervin the job, his performance during preseason camp allowed fellow punter earn the coaches choice for the season opener against Eastern Michigan.
But after watching his replacement have a poor showing, Ervin was ready to take the challenge and win back his position and excel in the process.
Bearcat Insider spoke with the Sulphur, Kentucky native about the season and getting ready to battle Pitt in the Bearcats first Big East contest.
