-Connecticut's defense is #1 in the country allowing only 227.8 yards per game. They are #1 in pass defense and #3 in points allowed giving up only 9.6 points per game.

-Bradley Glatthaar has scored a touchdown in 9 of his last 11 ball games for the Bearcats.

-Haruki Nakamura leads the Bearcats in tackles with an average of 7.8 a game. True freshman Corey Smith is #2.

-Saturday's game is only the second time the two schools have played in football. UC beat U Conn 45-28 in 2001.

-The University of Cincinnati is 45-21-3 in homecoming games.

-Glenn Sample and Jack Lee are UC's honorary captains for the game. Sample played in the 50's and went on to have great success coaching UC baseball. Lee played professionally for 11 seasons in the American Football League.

-With 3 more punts Saturday, Chet Ervin will reach 5th place in career attempts at UC.

-U Conn did something UC couldn't do when the Huskies beat Toledo 39-10 in the 2004 Motor City Bowl 2004 Motor City Bowl.

-The Huskies sold 4,000 football season tickets in 2001. This year they sold over 32,000 season tickets.
