Player of the Game: Xavier

While the Bearcats fell to their crosstown rival Xavier on Wednesday night, that didn't stop Bearcat Insider from picking a Player of the Game. See who we picked and take a look at how good this team is going to be in the years to come.

While the Bearcats didn't find the outcome to their liking, that didn't stop us from naming a Bearcat Insider Player of the Game.

For her performance against rival Xavier, Kahla Roudebush has been selected as our "Player of the Game". On the night, the freshman from Noblesville, Indiana proved how deep this year's freshmen class is by scoring 16 points and 4 boards in 28 minutes of play.

Other top performers included fellow Freshmen Shelly Bellman (Ottawa, Ohio) who scored 13 points and Jill Stephens (Mineral Wells, West Virginia) who totaled 10 points to go with 6 boards.

While Roudebush, Bellman and Stephens are getting lots of coverage, you also can't leave out Angel Morgan (Springfield, Ohio) and Michelle Jones (Cincinnati, Ohio).

For the season, these freshmen are playing big roles for the Bearcats. Combined, they've recorded the following numbers.

SHELLY BELLMAN

KAHLA ROUDEBUSH

JILL STEPHENS

BEARCATS FAB FIVE

56% OF TOTAL POINTS

54% TOTAL REBOUNDS

The "Fab Five" look to be legit and will make the Bearcats a team to be reckoned with down the road in the Big East.
