Jersey Linebacker Interested In Big East

Bearcat Insider talks with a New Jersey linebacker who has interest in several schools in the Big East.

Matt Hardison, and outside linebacker from Freehold High School in New Jersey, listed a number of Big East schools as suitors. Hardison will visit Rutgers this weekend and plans a trip to Connecticut next weekend. He also reports interest and offers from Delaware, Cincinnati, Louisville, Ohio and several others.

The 6' 3" linebacker said his weight is up to 235 pounds and reported a 4.68 forty. In talking to Matt he begrudgingly admitted a slight preference for the Big East conference but made it pretty clear that he did not have any favorites and planned to take all five of his visits. Although he presently has only the two visits planned, he acknowledged that Division IAA Delaware would definitely be on his list of five visits.

His attraction to Cincinnati involved a coaching staff that he felt was on the "upside" and a young nucleus returning for the Bearcats. He identified his strengths as his quickness and patience. Bearcat defensive coordinator Pat Narduzzi is handling Hardison's recruitment.

Matt agreed to talk again with BCI if he ends up visiting Cincinnati.
