BCI Week In Review

See if you missed any of the stories posted on Bearcat Insider for the past week. See why many in the local media use BCI as a source and why BCI is the only website with media access to the Bearcats athletic teams.

This past week was an exciting week for Bearcat fans here on Bearcat Insider. On area we are working on is helping Bearcat fans see what they are missing during a given week. So our goal in the future is to provide a Bearcat Insider Week In Review for those who might have missed something.

Each week we will post the highlights found on Bearcat Insider for a given week. This week's review goes from Saturday December 11th, until today December 18th.

Bearcat Wives Konnect

We start with an event only Bearcat Insider covered. The University of Cincinnati Football Coaches saw their wives work hard in putting together a fund raising event to help children go to summer camp. Bearcat Insider was called upon by the wives to help them promote the event and while it was open for anyone to cover, BCI was the only one to show up. To view our coverage of this event click the link below.

Bearcat Women Victory

While many in the Cincinnati media have chose not to cover the women's basketball team, Bearcat Insider knows the future in the Big East is going to provide some great news in the coming years.  BCI's Casey Weldon covered another victory as Coach Pirtle and her team defeated Fordham.

Football Verbal #8

Only Bearcat Insider had the latest verbal commitment for the football program. See why the major media uses BCI to keep up to date on who the Bearcats are recruiting and who gives the staff a verbal commitment.

Dantonio End's Rumors

With talk of problems between Coach Mark Dantonio and UC President Nancy Zimpher, Bearcat Insider went to the source for an official response. What we received was an e-mail from the Bearcats Head Coach ending any rumors of problems. While some insist Coach Dantoino is towing the company line, I can tell you his statement is true.

Rumors, Rumors, Rumors

With many people talking about the rumors around current and former players at Colerain High School, BCI went to a source inside the program and got the truth behind what is going on with two high profile players.

Ohio Next Test For Bearcats

With the upcoming game against Ohio, BCI provided easy access to the official game notes sent out to the media by the UC Sports Information Department.

Game Notes: Ohio

Ok, had enough? We've taken you from Sunday through Wednesday. That is nine pieces of information on University of Cincinnati athletics. Some you could find elsewhere if you really searched, but some was only available at Bearcat Insider. Let's keep moving on.

Video, Video

As the only website with full access to cover the Bearcats, we try and bring our members information you just won't see anywhere else. While you may see news clip on the nightly news, BCI is the only place you will find the entire comments of Bearcats Head Basketball Coach Andy Kennedy for you to view. So after the Bearcats victory over Ohio, we taped the coach in the media room for our members.

Press Row

As I've stated before, Bearcat Insider is the only website covering the Bearcats with access to the players and coaches. Our competition or other fan sites just have not earned this right and may never do so. But this didn't happen overnight. BCI had to prove to the University of Cincinnati Sports Information Department we were serious about our coverage. We've done this and have earned season media passes for press row and also a photo spot courtside.

Photos And More Photos

One thing we try to do is take as many photos of the Bearcats in action. Wednesday night we took some shots and allowed our members a chance to view them.

Women's Hoops Victory

Two Bearcat Victories

Not only did the women win big on Saturday. The men's followed suit and downed Tennessee Tech. Casey Weldon was on hand for the game and post game comments by Coach Andy Kennedy and players.

Support Is Needed

One thing that is standing out early this year is the lack of fan support and media support given the women's' basketball team. With just over 300 fans showing up for the IU game, and even less for others, fans need to learn more about what is ahead when Big East foes enter Fifth Third Arena in the coming weeks.

It's Time Fans Show Support

And while many would feel the number of stories done were enough, members of Bearcat Insider know who the Bearcats had in for an official visit this weekend. No one else did the work in bringing Bearcat fans the latest prospect to make a visit to Clifton. If you become a member you will learn who the big-time prospect was this weekend by taking a visit to Par's Place the home of all our Premium Members on the Bearcat Insiders Message Boards.

So to end this week's review, if you were a member of Bearcat Insider you would have had all of our free content and also all the premium content. In all BCI produced 18 pieces of information in a seven day span. I can already tell you we have two stories in the can to be released for Monday.
