Church Give His Verbal

One of the top prospects being recruited by the Bearcats has made his choice. What does this mean for the Bearcats?

One of the players University of Cincinnati football coach Mark Dantonio and his staff worked very hard on has given his verbal commitment.

On Wednesday night, Scout.com Recruiting Expert Bob Lichtenfels gave us the news on one of PA's top prep players and his college choice.

Barry Church, a three star safety prospect from Penn Hills (PA) High School has given his verbal commitment to the University of Toledo. The 6'2 205 lb. Church made the choice between the Rockets and Bearcats after much thought.

What Does This Mean

With Church headed to Toledo, Bearcat coaches will need to look at other prospects on their board. Look for a strong push for Aaron Webster (Wylie E. Groves HS, Mich) with this commitment.

Two other players may now see even more interest by the staff is Anthony Harris (Brookhaven HS, OH) and Roderick Jenrette (Chamberlain Sr. HS, FL).

Jenrette is a player many Bearcat fans have not heard much about up to this point. But the safety prospect has an offer and will take his official UC visit on January 6, and then follow it up with visits to West Virginia and Indiana. The Florida star has already made a visit to Rutgers.

Harris comes from one of Ohio's programs that have placed several players in the college ranks. He's only received one official offer (Illinois) but could receive more interest as his most recent test score has colleges looking to see if they can get him approved by their admissions office.

Bearcat Insider would like to thank Barry and his family for allowing Bearcat Insider to follow their recruiting process. We wish Barry the best of luck during his college career.
