It's mid January and football coaches across the country have invited the many top prospects they've been recruiting over the past year to year and a half in for official visits. But while coaches are busy working to close the deal on the next star running back or stud offensive lineman, they are also busy with juniors who are looking to fast start their recruiting experience.
On Saturday night the University of Cincinnati received an early unofficial visit from one of the top juniors in the state of Ohio. Bearcat Insider first noticed this 6'3 190 lb. wide receiver/safety prospect last summer at the many camps attended. With great hands and a 4.5 forty time, Chris Givens of Chillicothe High School (Chillicothe, Ohio) will see many programs show him interest during the recruiting process. But it was Cincinnati this junior talent took an early visit with.
While we didn't have a chance to speak with Chris, we'll catch up with him in the next couple of weeks to get an early look at his recruiting. But one thing we noticed was the attention given Chris by the Bearcats staff. While they had full attention on the players on official visits, they also know the type of talent Chris Givens has a chance to become in the future.
