If your last name is Guidugli you know you have to be tough. But while Ben Guidugli knows all about tough guys, it was his families and his embrace of the University of Cincinnati that led the younger brother of one of the Bearcats All-Time Greats to sign on the dotted line on National Letter of Intent Day.
Some questioned the level the younger Guidugli would reach during the recruiting process, but Bearcats Head Coach Mark Dantonio wasted little time in making an early offer back in July and stood by his guns as other programs passed by.
The commitment came in real handy when Colorado hired a new coach who was looking for a player like Ben Guidugli to fill an important position in his new offense. So while Bearcat fans waited for word on if Ben would sign, the lure of staying close to home overcame all else and Ben stayed with his commitment.
Bearcat Insider has the video clip released by the UC Football program that shows why Ben Guidugli was considered a must get by Coach Dantonio.
