Bearcats Offer Top Ohio Lineman

As Junior Day has passed and the start of making offers gets into full gear, Brian Kelly and his staff have wasted little time in going after some of Ohio's top talent.

One of Ohio's top prospects for the Class of 2008 picks up official offer from the University of Cincinnati.

When talking about some of the top Southwest Ohio prospects that Division One College programs will be in hot pursuit of, look no farther then Northmont High School and their star offensive lineman Zebrie Sanders. At 6'6" – 270 lbs. Sanders has all the tools needed to find success at the next level. Playing in an offense much like the Bearcats may also help him take a deep look at staying close to home for his college career. We spoke with Sanders to get the latest.

"I was offered by Cincinnati and have some interest in seeing what they have. I know they have a nice campus and great facilities and are part of the Big East. So I'll have to take a closer look at them."

While football is the main interest at this time, Sanders is quick to point out academics will play an important role in making his college choice.

"I'm looking for academics along with team chemistry and tradition in a program."

As stated the T-Bolts run the spread no-huddle offense and Sanders felt there could be a comfort level there.

"Being able to come in and play in the same style of spread no-huddle like we run at Northmont would give me a comfort level. So I have some interest in trying to make a visit and see more of what Cincinnati has to offer."

At this time Sanders has no favorites as scholarship offers have just started to come in.
