2007 Football Season Ticket Packages

Come Early, Be Loud, Wear Black! is the battle cry for Cincinnati Football 2007 as head coach Brian Kelly heads into his first full season at the helm of the Bearcats program. Kelly's inaugural "CAT ATTACK" will face one of the most exciting six-game home schedules in school history, including preseason top 25 opponents Oregon State and BIG EAST rivals West Virginia and Louisville.

Season Ticket Deposits have been available to the public since December, but Monday, March 5 will be the first day that patrons can apply their deposits or purchase Bearcat football season ticket packages for the upcoming season.

An all-new ticketing web site, CATSTIX.com, launches on Monday and offers Bearcat fans 24-hour ticket information and purchasing opportunities.  Tickets may also be purchased by calling 1-877-CATS-TIX from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Friday, or in person at the UC Athletics Ticket Office located in the Richard E. Linder Center in the heart of UC's campus.  Office hours are 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Friday and validated parking is available in the Varsity Village Garage adjacent to the building.

Several new ticketing policy changes are in effect for the 2007 gridiron season.

For the first time in many years, UC football tickets and men's basketball tickets will no longer be linked to one another.  In the recent past, patrons were required to purchase football season tickets in order to have the opportunity to purchase men's basketball season tickets.

Director of Athletics Mike Thomas says that the school's affiliation with the BIG EAST Conference has elevated the football program, and the quality of opponents that will be coming to Nippert Stadium.

"The strength of the BIG EAST Conference along with our league's affiliation with the Bowl Championship Series (BCS) allows the UC football experience to stand on its own merit. We have a great home schedule coming to campus this fall and I am excited about seeing large, loud, and loyal crowds on hand to watch our Bearcats every week."

Cincinnati Athletics will offer the best value for a 2007 BIG EAST football season ticket, a reserved season ticket for only $182.

The price will be the same for both UCATS members and general reserved season ticket patrons, with UCATS members enjoying priority seating along the sideline sections of the stadium.

Priority seating for UCATS members will begin on June 5, 2007 and will continue until July 3.  Beginning on July 9, seat assignments will be allocated to all non-UCATS members based on renewal status from 2006 and continuing in order of date of deposit for 2007 season tickets.

All 2007 season ticket patrons will enjoy a host of benefits, starting with events leading up to BEARCAT BOWL I, UC's Spring Football Game, on April 21 and continuing throughout the summer and into the fall.  These incentives will be spread over three tiers, based on the time of ticket purchase.

Thomas feels that giving the fans a significant value for their commitment to the program is a top priority.

"Our goal is to present the best possible value to our patrons who make the highest level investment with UC Athletics.  These incentives will be significant and will be available exclusively to our season ticket patrons.  From the weekly pregame tent party with complimentary drinks and snacks, to the chance to be a guest coach at one of our games, and the big savings of buying tickets on a season-long basis over the day of game price, each one of our patrons will realize our appreciation from our actions throughout the year.

"Patrons will no longer have to worry about single-game tickets being put on sale at a highly discounted rate to the general public, which underscores the value of a season ticket," Thomas added.  "Any mini-plan or promotion which may be announced at a later date would be priced to respect the value of our season ticket and the applied incentives."

Another new element of upper level football season ticket plans for 2007 will be the inclusion of a bowl ticket credit in the seasonal investment.  For 2007, a $50 bowl ticket allowance will be included in the base season ticket price, which would cover the full cost of a non-BCS bowl ticket.  In the event that UC advances to one of the BCS games, the difference between the cost of a BCS game ticket and the $50 bowl ticket value per ticket would be billed at a later date to the patron.  In the unlikely event of UC not going to a bowl game, the $50 value per ticket would be credited to the patron's season ticket purchase for the following year or could be donated to UCATS as a tax-deductible, restricted gift towards UC Football.

Kelly says showing strength in numbers to the many postseason bowl committees will be a major step in securing a top-tier bowl bid for 2007 and beyond.

"It is important that our program be able to show prospective bowl committees that UC has a ready, willing and able fan base who is committed to the Bearcats and who will travel with the team in the postseason. Reputations of schools which travel well, along with the obvious on-field performance of the squad, are both major factors in today's bowl climate.  We need to put our best effort forward, both on the field and off."

Several other ticketing options are also available for the 2007 season, including a pair of plans which are sure to sell out early in the sales drive.

UC Athletics, in collaboration with Clear Channel Cincinnati and 1530 Homer, will co-brand two sections of Nippert Stadium for the upcoming 2007 football season. The 1530 HOMER FAMILY PLAN and the SPORTS ANIMAL BEARCAT LAIR are on sale now.  The sections make their debut when UC opens the season on Thursday, August 30 at 7 p.m. against Southeast Missouri State.

The 1530 HOMER FAMILY PLAN features seating in a dedicated area in Nippert Stadium.  Families will be able to take in each game from great seats; will be constantly entertained by cheerleaders, the UC marching band, and the BEARCAT, and have an easy path in and out of the stadium. These sections are also close to restrooms and concessions, and the pregame interactive areas in the nearby Richard E. Lindner Varsity Village.      Each plan is priced at only $199 and will include four (4) reserved tickets to each of the 2007 UC home football games, a value of $360 and a savings of $161 off the day of the game purchase price for seats in this section.

The first fans who will welcome Kelly's 2007 edition to the turf will be seated directly over the UC locker room in the SPORTS ANIMAL BEARCAT LAIR.  This area will mimic the Oakland Raiders' Black Hole and will be located in the North End Zone of Nippert Stadium.  This section will be the least expensive season ticket in UC history and is priced $12 under the day of the game purchase price, over the course of the six-game season.  Each seat in the SPORTS ANIMAL BEARCAT LAIR is priced at only $60 and includes a limited edition black t-shirt which will be given to patrons at a special preseason event with the UC coaching staff at Nippert Stadium.

The Young Alumni package ($72) features a general admission season ticket which will be held exclusively for alumni from the UC graduating classes of 2007, 2006, 2005, 2004 and 2003.  Located adjacent to the current student sections in Nippert Stadium, these areas are prime locations for recent grads who want to sit near their friends who are still in school.  This season ticket plan does not include a bowl ticket credit, but patrons will be able to purchase bowl tickets per availability once a bowl invitation is secured.

Season tickets are also available to UC Faculty and Staff at a discounted rate of $108, a discount of 41% off the regular reserved season ticket price.

To order tickets please call the UC Athletics Ticket Office at 1-877-CATS-TIX, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-6 p.m.  Orders can also be placed online 24/7/365 by logging on to www.CATSTIX.com.
