Mauk Earns Big East Honors

Saturday night Bearcat fans enjoyed watching Ben Mauk have his best outing as a Bearcat. The Big East was watching and has honored Ben with their Conference Offensive Player of the Week.

For Ben Mauk this season is one of anything goes. Not sure what would happen as the season started, the Kenton, Ohio native was willing to work hard in hopes the injury he suffered last season would hold up. After a few setbacks, Mauk and the fans of the University of Cincinnati saw what he's capable of doing in the teams win over San Diego State.

Saturday night Mauk threw four touchdown passes in the second quarter to help the Bearcats to a 52-23 win at San Diego State. For the night Ben completed 17 of 23 passes for 257 yards and led the offense to touchdowns on six of its first seven drives before being replaced by Tony Pike in the third quarter.
