Fox In A Bearcats House

The University of Cincinnati is in the middle of a "Fox Hunt" for one of Ohio's top prospects Dan Fox of Cleveland St. Ignatius High School (Cleveland, Ohio). Bearcat Insider spoke with Fox about his trip into the Bearcats house.

"It was good," Dan Fox said about his visit to the campus of the University of Cincinnati. "I really liked it a lot and they wasted no time in getting me to coach Kelly and him offering me a scholarship."

While Fox admitted he felt the Bearcats were going to offer, he still felt excited about how things went down.

"I kind of expected it because of what had been said to me. But Coach Kelly wanted to make sure he spent some time with me and I left feeling they really wanted me. Coach Kelly is a great coach and you can see why he's been successful. "

While Fox knows the recruiting process is a long one he also knows his recruiting coach has shown the ability to recruit some big time prospects.

"Coach Molnar is the coach recruiting me for Cincinnati and he's a great guy. I can see why he was successful in getting a player like D.J. Woods to sign with Cincinnati."

Not only was Fox impressed with Coach Kelly and Coach Molnar he also left with a good feeling about new Bearcats linebacker coach William Inge.

"I really liked Coach Inge. He took me under his wing while I was on my visit and since he'd be my position coach this allowed me the chance to get to know him more."

Fox who said the weight room was a surprise has only heard great things about Cincinnati.

"I have a friend who is a student at Cincinnati and he always talks about how great it is. I can now see why he feels that way. I was very surprised how everything was so close together. The stadium and facilities seem to be right in the center of everything."

While Dan Fox is a ways off from making his college decision he could see why the Bearcats could be a program he'd look at.

"Right now I'm just checking everything out and talking with a lot of coaches. I'm looking for good coaches, good facilities and a place I'll feel comfortable at for the next four of five years. When the time comes I'll know where I want to go."

We'll continue to follow Dan in the coming weeks and months as the recruiting process continues to heat up.
