Fresno More Than A Game For Recruits

With an expected sellout for Saturday's game against Fresno State the number of people getting ready to watch the Bearcats take on Fresno State will hit over 35,000. But while most eyes will be watching to see if the Bearcats win, many other eyes will be looking hard to see if their future will be cast with the Bearcats. Who are some of the players expected to be on hand?

With only one home game under their belts the Bearcats have yet to have that giant recruiting day most college programs have enjoyed. While several players took in the Southeast Missouri State game, it's this weekend that will provide for more of the marquee names to appear.

Here is a look at the players we've been able to confirm that have made plans to attend the Fresno State game.

We'll first start with the already verbally committed. At this time most of the local players can be expected to make the 12:00 kickoff. Preston Brown will be at the lead of the group of players to be on campus along with several of his future teammates.

One prospect many are hoping will be a future Bearcat is Cincinnati (Ohio) St. Xavier's Matt James. The 4-star offensive lineman is a player Brian Kelly hopes to sign in February to a letter of intent and a good showing Saturday could help boost those chances.

Another player in the Class of 2010 is Miles Simpson. The running back from Independence (KY) Simon Kenton has several BCS offers and time might be running out on his chances of being a Bearcat if he doesn't jump on board soon.

But while it will be exciting to see how James and Simpson feel after their game experience it's the future class that could see a major showing on Saturday. 4-star wide receiver prospect DeAnthony Arnett of Saginaw (MI) High School is expected to be on hand along with another 4-star prospect Eilar Hardy of Pickerington (Ohio) Central.

Also expected to join the big name prospects is Dublin (Ohio) Coffman quarterback Cole Stoudt who also holds an offer from the Bearcats.

Bearcat Insider will be checking to see who makes the trip Saturday for the Bearcats game against Fresno State.
