Sheakley Claws Away At Bearcats Future

This past Saturday saw the Bearcats clawing away at the Miami RedHawks on the gridiron, but while many fans were watching the action, Bearcat Insider caught one fan enjoying the action getting revved up to take the Bearcats to another level.

Larry Sheakley, the CEO of the Sheakley Group opened eyes a few weeks ago with his $1 million matching gift challenge to help raise the funds needed to get the Jefferson Avenue Sports Complex heading forward and reaching the goal needed to get construction underway.

Now Sheakley is ready to claw away some more on the money needed for the project by pledging another $1.5 million and take the Bearcats to a level needed if they plan to continue their climb as one of the countries top football programs and athletic departments.

The Jefferson Avenue Sports Complex is the next piece of the puzzle in taking University of Cincinnati athletics to the forefront of the Big East Conference by giving Bearcats student-athletes the facilities needed to prepare for the rigors of the conference and compete on a national level.
