Chenault Gives The Latest On UC

Ohio safety Arryn Chenault gives the latest on his feelings towards Cincinnati with the coaching change.

One of the top prospects on the Bearcats verbal commitment list is Fairfield (Ohio) safety Arryn Chenault. The 6-foot-1, 194-pound hard hitting Chenault is watching closely what is going on at Cincinnati and knows if things don't go the way he feels will help him a change may be needed.

"I've talked with Coach Coombs and he's been very upfront in what is going on. Right now he doesn't know what his future will be but he's hoping to still be part of new staff and that will weigh a lot on what I might do.

While Chenault will remain committed to the Bearcats at this time others are making contact looking to get him to visit in the coming weeks.

"Illinois has always stayed in contact and I might have interest in looking at Michigan State if they still have interest. But right now I'm just waiting to see what happens."

When asked what would be needed for him to stay a Bearcat, Chenault stressed the chance of Coach Kerry Coombs being on the staff as well as Coach Jeff Quinn as head coach would mean he'd have no reason to change.
