"Cincinnati is in good shape," Roberts said. "I like coach (Butch) Jones, coach (Mark) Elder, so Cincinnati is in good shape."
When looking at what Roberts said he is looking for in a school, it's easy to see why Roberts says Cincinnati is in good shape with him.
"I'm just looking for a good program and a good coaching staff that I feel comfortable with," Roberts said. "And a coach that doesn't plan on leaving anytime soon."
Does the style of offense a team plays matter?
"Kind of, but if I feel like I can fit in with that program then it doesn't really matter as much," Roberts said.
Roberts seems like the kind of running back that could fit in with Cincinnati, describing himself as a "do it all" type of back. He can even catch the ball out the backfield, amassing more than 400 receiving yards on 13 catches with six touchdowns in 2009.
Roberts said he does not have much of a timetable for his decision, only that it will definitely come before the end of his senior season.
"I'm graduating in December, so I'm graduating right after football season so I obviously want to make a decision before then," Roberts said. "I don't really have a timetable as far as exactly when before then."
The senior-to-be who rushed for 2,600 yards as a junior has lofty expectations for his 2010 season.
"My goal for the single season is to run for 4,000 next year," Roberts said.
