Williams looking to land offers at camps

As players get set for the summer, Shawnee High School (Lima, OH) defensive back Jamiil Williams has busy summer ahead of him as he plans on attending several camps this summer.

The 2011 cornerback prospect said he plans on camping at Cincinnati, Ball State, Toledo, Ohio State, Michigan and a couple of others as well.

While Jamil Williams does not hold any offers at the moment, he thinks that will change once his final grades for the year come out.

"I'm looking for an offer soon from Ball State," Williams said. "And Ball State wants to see me at their camp (before offering)."

Williams is also hoping for an offer from Cincinnati after going to their senior camp.

"They said they want to see at their camp and they could be offering me," Williams said. "They said they really liked my highlight tape."

Williams also said that Cincinnati is very high on list right now.

Williams is hoping to impress some teams with his athleticism at the camps as Williams is the type of player with the athleticism to play all over the field, and has done so in high school.

"I've played wide receiver, some outside linebacker my sophomore year before going to cornerback and I've played safety," Williams said.

Williams said he has been receiving interest from Cincinnati, Akron, Bowling Green, Ball State and Toledo.
