Bearcats To Add Super Athlete?

The University of Cincinnati will add one of their top prospects from a few years back to the program come Monday.

In the Class of 2009, Greenwood (IN) Center Grove quarterback Jordan Luallen was only behind Morgan Newton (Kentucky) in the state of Indiana. After coming up short in getting Luallen the first time, it looks now that the Bearcats will get the former 4-star quarterback.

Luallen who played in a wing-T offense at Center Grove didn't post super number on the stat sheet, but no one could take away his physical abilities at 6-foot-3 with 4.62 forty speed. Luallen was not just a good athlete, he was a great student who carried a 3.5 GPA to go with his 1620 SAT score and person off the field.

During the recruiting process, got to know Luallen very well as he attended several combines and 7x7 events. Each time Luallen showed his willingness to be a team player and show off his overall athletic skills.

While no official word has been received from the University of Cincinnati, has spoken with a couple of sources who have stated Luallen will become a Bearcat.

Jordan himself posted on Facebook that he was headed to Cincinnati to be closer to his home.

While Georgia Tech head coach Paul Johnson had nothing but positive things to say about Luallen, it looks as if another year on the scout team made Jordan take a long hard look at the environment he was in, and move to a program he hopes will give him a chance to compete for playing time.

One person who is sure to be happy about the addition to Luallen at Cincinnati will be Jordan Stepp. Both players became good friends during the recruiting process and Luallen worked hard to get Stepp to Georgia Tech after he had committed there.

Under NCAA transfer rules, Jordan will have to sit out the 2010 season.
