White Look For Home

After leaving Michigan State this past week, Patrick White is now looking for a new home. We caught up with White on Monday for the latest in his search.

Early last week Michigan State redshirt freshman defensive back Patrick White made a very hard choice. With the close of camp, the Pickerington, Ohio native felt a change was needed. After asking for and receiving his release from Michigan State, White started the process of contacting schools to see what interest they may have in him.

"I have spoken with Cincinnati," White said as he watched his high school compete in the Herbstreit Classic in Columbus. "Right now they are saying they do not have any scholarships. I have also spoken with Ohio and Kent State."

For White, leaving Michigan State was hard but he felt a change was needed.

"I think I surprised them (Michigan State) when I asked to leave. Michigan State was a great experience but I felt I was just a little too far from home and wanted to come back closer."

White, who had offers from Cincinnati, Indiana, Kansas, Louisville and Oregon to name a few out of high school knows he will need to make a choice soon.

"I only want to sit out this season so I know I need to find a school here this week."

If the Bearcats do get into the race, we will have more on Patrick White when the time comes.
