Clemson coach Dabo Swinney announced Chandler Catanzaro would be the Tigers starting placekicker against Florida State Thursday after practice.
Catanzaro was 25-of-26 on field goals this week leading up to Thursday's session and held off held off Richard Jackson and Spencer Benton for the job.
For the season, Catanzaro has connected on 7-of-12 field goals with a long of 48 yards.
Swinney and the Clemson coaching staff conducted week-long drills to test the three kickers battling for the starting spot after Richard Jackson missed two field goals last weekend against N.C. State.
Catanzaro originally lost his starting position after missing two field goals at Boston College two weeks ago.
Cemson also released an updated injury report for Saturday's game against Florida State Thursday evening:
