DE Ray Drew Profile
On Monday, Florida tight ends coach Brian White was in town. Pearman stopped by on Tuesday.
Georgia sent offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach Mike Bobo and tight ends coach John Lilly on Wednesday. LSU defensive line coach Brick Haley also visited. On Thursday, Michigan defensive line coach Bruce Tall made his stop.
Thomasville County Central High School senior Ray Drew told CUTigers that Pearman made an hour-long in-home visit.
"He wants me to try to pencil in a weekend, hopefully in January, for a visit. I've only been up one time before…he said he wants to get me back up again, just to refresh memory about what Clemson is all about," Drew said.
The first trip to Clemson was earlier this year during his spring break.
Along with Clemson, Georgia, Florida, Auburn, LSU, Tennessee and Florida are all in the mix for Drew's signature.
There are no leaders, yet. Just schools the seven schools he's keeping in mind with signing day two months away.
Drew will be taking an official visit to Georgia next weekend. He's already made officials to LSU and Auburn.
"I'm going to have to see how my schedule is going to work. Just about for the entire months of December and January, I'm booked," he said. "I'm trying to push some stuff back and move some stuff around so I can take my other official visits."
As Drew finishes up his recruitment, he's going to focus on the relationships he has at each school.
"Anytime you go to a division one school, the education is going to be there. Education is everywhere. You just have to put forth an effort to get it," Drew said. "Football, that's going to take care of itself, no matter what color the uniform is. You're still playing the same sport.
"It's more so about whom am I going to be around. What my relationship is with them—the people I'm going to be around—future teammates."
He finished this senior season with 64 tackles, 22 tackles for loss and six sacks.
