CUTigers caught up with Colquitt County High School (Moultrie, Ga.) senior offensive tackle Xzavier Ward.

He recently spoke with Pearman, who was by Colquitt County last Wednesday.

"He just asked me when I was going to get up there for a visit, asking me to come up there," Ward said.

No official visit to Clemson has been set. The only one he's scheduled is the first weekend of January, and that's to Alabama.

Along with Clemson, Ward is considering visiting Auburn, Georgia and Alabama.

A trip to Clemson would be his first time in Tigertown.

"I always liked the school growing up. They always caught my eye," he said.

Colquitt County plays Brookwood in the Georgia AAAAA state championship on Saturday at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta.

"I'm really excited about this. I've been dreaming about it all my life," Ward said.

The three-star plans to wait until signing day before announcing a decision.

There's one important thing Ward will consider as signing day approaches.

"I want to see how my relationship is with the coaches," he said. Top Stories
